I am writing to urge you to support the proposed offshore wind farm off the coast of Virginia and the upcoming environmental impact process. The wind farm would have the potential to provide enough power for hundreds of thousands of homes without fuel and without producing greenhouse gases.

I am concerned about the effects of local air pollution from power plants on my health and the environment, as well as climate change, and the threat to national security due to our dependence on foreign oil. Wind is part of the solution to these issues. This project is exciting because we would be leading the country — it would be the first offshore wind farm in the nation — and would be leading the way to growing a vibrant, secure and sustainable future for ourselves and our children.
